IN THE PRESS
OMG! I went on this journey with Dylan both times! He is so amazing and this book is even more so! He went through tragedy twice and came above it. This book is emotional, funny and raw! I know the struggles are still there but this book is spectacular!! You will laugh, cry, and see the realness of these types of injuries! I love how strong he was to put this on paper, because I know it was so hard to put his journey into words! But he did!! This is a must read for everyone.
A deeply human story of survival and resilience. Dylan’s voice pulls you right into the fight, honest, vulnerable, and powerful. You don’t just read this book; you feel it. It is a reminder of what it means to rebuild when life breaks you apart.
It’s a powerful self-description for a young man whose life was irrevocably changed by a sudden, traumatic brain bleed in college, and who has chosen to respond by turning pain into purpose.

BIO

Dylan Sandhu was born in 2002 in Los Angeles County. At 18, he was full of dreams, energy, mischief, and a love for fashion, music, and collecting kicks—a typical college student ready to take on the world. Then a devastating brain bleed changed everything.
Originally aspiring to complete a business degree and pursue law, Dylan never imagined writing would become part of his path. But through his journey of recovery, he has embraced curiosity, independence, and resilience, discovering a new way to live and connect with the world. Son of the Sea is the beginning of his story relearning to walk, rebuild, and thrive. He hopes it inspires anyone facing struggles to fight through, stand tall, and keep moving forward.
